Tips from George Kittle and Claire – Sportsdark

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship may be the most high-profile romance in America. It definitely is in the sports world. 

Relationships, no matter how much spotlight a duo gets, still takes a lot of hard work. And San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle and his wife Claire have two golden relationship rules of their own that they wanted Swift and Kelce to know before starting NFL season No 2 together. 

‘Talk as much as you possibly can. Communicate!’ George told PEOPLE. 

‘The biggest thing is communication,’ Claire added, agreeing with her husband. 

Claire and George met as student-athletes at Iowa, where Claire was on the Hawkeyes women’s basketball team while Caitlin Clark was in middle school. 

Swift and Kelce have been a couple for nearly a year dating back to last September

The Kittles married in 2019, being a pair for much longer than Kelce and Swift’s year-long romance thus far. 

Swift and Kelce’s public romance began last September when she attended a Kansas City Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears. 

After Kelce scored a touchdown that day at Arrowhead Stadium, cameras panned to Swift jumping up and down and cheering in a luxury suite. 

Since then, the duo has been under a massive microscope. 

‘Something that Claire thought was a great idea that we’ve been doing for a long time is every night before you go to bed, make sure you tell each other “I love you” before you go to sleep,’ George Kittle said. 

‘And I think it’s just good no matter if you guys had an argument or are upset with each other, just to tell the person that. It’s just a good way to end the day,’ Kittle continued. 

‘That is what I would say!’ Claire added. ‘Good job.’ 

The Chiefs were 10-3 last season with Swift in attendance, including her presence at all four playoff victories in different cities. 

Kelce has repaid the favor by being in attendance at several ‘Eras Tour’ shows in Singapore, Amsterdam, Argentina, and Australia. 

Kelce has even been on stage with Swift during one of her recent stadium shows in London as a backup dancer.
