Almeria winger Largie Ramazani flew into England on Wednesday evening ahead of undergoing a medical with Leeds United.

The former Manchester United academy graduate has agreed a move to Elland Road worth £10.2million with a 15 per cent sell on clause for the Spanish side.

Belgium-born Ramazani moved to London as a 12-year old to join Charlton Athletic’s academy and had spells with Fulham and Chelsea before signing for United.

He made his first team debut in a Europa League game against Astana in 2019 but left the following summer after rejecting the offer of a contract.

The 23-year old has made 127 appearances since for Almeria and scored 21 goals. He was linked with Everton earlier in the summer but is now joining Leeds’ promotion push pending his medical.

Leeds are closing in on signing ex-Man United academy star Largie Ramazani from Almeria

Ramazani, 23, played once for United and is set to join Leeds for a £10.2million fee

With Crysencio Summerville joining West Ham, Leeds had asked about Norwich City’s Jonathan Rowe who is joining Marseille, Freiburg’s Roland Sallai and Manuel Benson of Burnley while Rangers’ Rabbie Matondo had been discussed but he looks destined for Blackburn Rovers.

They still want to add a striker following the sale of Georginio Rutter to Brighton as fans grow impatient over the lack of new signings.
