Brazil vs Uruguay: Endrick’s Only Accurate Pass Leaves Fans in Disbelief

Fans took to social media to mock Endrick after the future Real Madrid star failed to have a meaningful impact during Brazil’s Copa America defeat by Uruguay on Saturday.
Endrick – who will move to Madrid from Palmeiras next summer following his 18th birthday – played the full 90 minutes in Nevada, where the game ended 0-0 before Uruguay prevailed 4-2 in a penalty shootout.
Madrid centre back Eder Militao and former Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz failed to find the net in the shootout, while Endrick did not take a spot-kick. However, it was what Endrick did – or did not do – during normal time that left fans stunned.
Stats showed that he only completed one pass – of five attempted – all night. It then emerged that this solitary pass had been from Brazil’s kick-off.
Footage of the pass was shared via X (formerly Twitter) by a Barcelona fan alongside multiple crying emojis and the caption: ‘I’m dead, this is the “pass” brother made all game’.

In addition to his one completed pass, stats from Sofascore showed that Endrick recorded just one shot, which was on target. His Expected Goals (xG) score was only 0.03.
Endrick touched the ball 23 times in total throughout the game. This included three attempted dribbles, of which one was successful.
Replying to the video, one fan tweeted: ‘How tf is this possible’
Another scoffed: ‘The next Pele!’
A third comment read: ‘That is worse than 0 touches in 90 mins’.

After knocking out Brazil, Uruguay will now face Colombia in the semi-finals on Tuesday.
The other semi will see Lionel Messi’s Argentina clash with Colombia.
